It's in the game.
Today’s email… here’s the thing.
You might not know this, but a Saudi investment fund just bought EA.
Yeah, the FIFA guys.
The “It’s in the game” ones.
Why?
I’m no finance expert. I just know how to get the best out of every player so they can perform for 90 minutes every weekend.
But if I had to guess…
I’d say it’s because of the potential behind e-sports.
And if you’re the parent of a young player, you probably think:
“Better to play football in real life than on a PlayStation or Xbox.”
Because how can a guy sitting there with a controller be called an athlete?
Alright.
Now imagine this is the controller.
And that this is where your kid’s sitting.
Still think the same?
Ok.
From now on, this email is for those who just changed their minds.
For those who understand that a Formula 1 driver is an elite athlete with one of the most demanding physical trainings on earth.
Well, e-sports competitors are heading in that same direction.
It’s not just that their salaries are skyrocketing.
It’s that they’re training like true high-performance athletes.
Why?
Because if they didn’t, their backs would’ve given up long ago.
Their fingers too—tendinitis would’ve destroyed them.
Their necks.
Their glutes.
Any pain is a distraction for the brain.
And at the speed e-sports are played, distractions are deadly.
That’s the muscular side.
But if we look at the cardiovascular system, it’s the same story.
When your heart rate is flying and tension is through the roof, a strong cardiovascular base helps you make fewer mistakes.
And if all of this matters for a FIFA pro…
Imagine how much more it matters for a real football player.
How many shots end up in the goalkeeper’s hands because the player ran out of gas in the 74th minute?
How many matches are missed because of sitting too long in school or at home without counterbalancing it with proper training?
All of that is preventable. And that’s worth thinking about.
Because honestly, if I were a parent, I’d also prefer my kid to play real football rather than on a console.
But I’d make sure he does it knowing how crucial it is to take care of his body to perform and enjoy it.
That’s why my son will be using this program, by the way.
Cheaper than a console—and with way better guarantees.
¡Vamos!
